Inspiration For Studio Work

Most Fairytale work is done on location so i found it difficult to find inspiration for it in the studio. Below is a selection of work that mainly uses make up and styling to give the fairy tale effect. Make up and styling are going to be a big part of this project so i will need to start looking into it.

 

 I don't like the lighting in the picture below. I think the photographer could have made the image much more intense by using darker lighting to add to the 'black fairy' look.

 

The images below use different effects to create a fantasy based theme. The first two have been manipulated on the computer to give them these enchanting feelings. They are made to look horror based. I love the idea of dark fairytale photographs. I am definatly going to give this a try.

 

This picture below is much softer looking because of the model used and the styling. I love the effect of the smoke in the background it make it very mysical. If fairytale photography is done in the studio, the photographers like to use a smoke machine. I don't think that i will be able to get hold of one for a good price but i will look into it.
