Editing Stage

Inspiration for Editing:

Fashion photographer, Liebovitz, did three series (and a single additional) of photos showing celebrities as Disney characters for Disney's ad campaign for the themeparks for 2008. http://thedisneyblog.com/2007/01/27/annie_leibovitz/

I wanted to edit the pictures to give them more of a magical feel. I highlighted Ashleigh's wings and played with the colours and lighting in these two pictures.

In the picture below, I painted stars and highlighted her wings again, I gave the image a colder feeling by tinting it with blue.

In the Images below I added smoke effects like many fairytale photographers do.

Here I changed the colour and added spotlights all over the image, this still makes the image look relaxed like her pose, but it also makes it look happier.

I added wings to the Studio images of Hannah and I think it worked quite well. I used the wings from a butterfly picture I had to create this effect.

I really love my edits because they show exactly what I want to see in a fairytale image; beauty freedom, carefree magical experiences. The Studio images, isolates the feeling of magic and makes it very powerful whereas the locations shoots make you imagine the life of the fairy and it becomes more realistic.
